What a great experience working on this album with Sharon. She is such a musical person with lots of great ideas and very easy to work with and it was such great fun!!
Great also to work with fantastic musicians such as Anto Drennan, Keith Duffy, Jason Duffy, Conor Brady, Gerry O’Connor, Mairtin O’Connor, Noel Eccles.

I also got to continue my collaborations with Fiachra Trench who always brings so much musicality to a project.
An added bonus was having Jeff Beck play on Mna na hEireann even if it was done remotely! He loved the track and asked for it to be sent over so he could play on it.
His engineer, Alan Branch recorded the parts and sent them over to me. Jeff even included an FX Track which he automated himself to go with the amazing solo!
We later heard that he loved the production on the track and went on to perfom it at all his live gigs.
It was with great sadness that we heard about the death of Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable. He was a true gentleman and fantastic musician and it was an honour to have worked with him on “So Long Ago”. I can still remember him wheeling in this enormous Bass Drum…….he was nearly lost behind it. But what a sound and what a hitter of the drums!

It was great to work with the amazing Tim Martin again……he engineered the entire project and kept us laughing throughout!
The album was recorded in Windmill Lane Studios and Westland Studios.
It was mixed by myself and Tim, with some tracks mixed by David Boucher in LA.
Dream Of You by Deadeye Productions
Mastering was performed by Dick Beetham at 360 Mastering in London.
It’s Not A Dream received Radio 2 “A” Listing for 3 weeks which was a great achievement and shows how highly regarded Sharon is in the business.
Standout tracks for me would be:
Paul Harrington did an amazing job on backing vocals on Love Me Better. I Just love the whole vibe from that song…..very cool.
